First, a call to action: Bellevue’s 1st and 3rd Ward council seats are open! If you’re passionate about shaping the future of our borough, now’s the time to step up. Your voice and leadership could make a big difference in the community we all call home. Special thank you to Jessica at JP Gallery for the Performing Arts for hosting!
Looking ahead, we’ve got a packed event schedule this week. Join us for a Business Meeting at Tavern Pizza on January 27 at 6 PM to connect with local entrepreneurs and hear about upcoming projects. Don’t miss the grand opening of Whisker Wonderland Cat Lounge on January 25—schedule your visit now at their website! Meanwhile, committees are gearing up for some of Bellevue’s favorite events. The Night Market Committee meets on Sunday, January 26 at 9:30 AM at Vintage Max. The Bellevue Music Festival Committee meeting will be on Sunday, February 2nd, at 5 PM at Tavern Pizza. Bellevue Pride Committee will meet at Tavern Pizza on Sunday, February 2nd, at 2 PM. The Bellevue Pride event is scheduled for June 28, with details forthcoming. Putt N’ Pour updates will be shared soon. These are perfect opportunities to lend your ideas and energy to our growing list of community traditions.
We’re also thrilled to introduce our talented Spring 2025 interns! Bellevue Forward welcomes Bradley Dietz and Rebecca Bivona from Point Park University, both recently recognized for their exceptional design work with our Halloween and Spotlight Series projects. Anna Tomiczek (CCAC, Graphic Design) and Ava Keller (Pitt Business, Marketing) are joining them. Their creativity and hard work will bring fresh energy to Bellevue Forward’s initiatives, from the Neighborhood Guide to the Bellevue Mural, which Northgate High School students will begin painting next month. Stay tuned for an exciting launch party hosted by Vintage Max in May!
Lastly, Bellevue Forward’s new podcast, hosted by Jeremy Thieroff, is on the horizon. The first episode drops soon, and future recordings will spotlight local businesses. Don’t forget to nominate a community member for our Spotlight Series via our homepage, and take a moment to review the 2025 Neighborhood Guide for opportunities to share your insights and ideas. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected Bellevue. Let’s keep the momentum going!
