March Meeting of the Minds Summary

Bellevue Forward’s March Meeting of the Minds took place on Monday, March 31, at Tavern Pizza and welcomed 30 engaged business owners, residents, and community stakeholders. A major focus of the evening was promoting the upcoming Putt & Pour event on Sunday, April 27, from 1–6 PM. Participants were encouraged to help spread the word by sharing promotional materials on social media and linking to the ticketing site (https://bellevuepa.us/puttandpour/). This year’s event is more inclusive, with additional tickets available for non-drinkers and accompanied minors, making it a fun, family-friendly day out. Volunteers are also needed to support event registration.

The group also celebrated the momentum building around the Bellevue Night Market, which kicks off its first season on Thursday, April 24, from 6–9 PM. Interest from local artists has been overwhelming, with over 65 expressing interest and more than 30 already committing to participate throughout the season. April’s market is fully booked, and now the focus turns to spreading the word for the May through October markets. Community members are encouraged to share details via social media, texts, emails, and word of mouth to ensure strong attendance and support for local creators.

RJ and Jeremy shared highlights from their recent meeting with trustees and staff of the Grable Foundation, hosted at Wunderbar. Their conversation emphasized Bellevue’s vibrant progress in economic development, education, and the thriving creator economy. Similarly, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts visited in early March, touring local highlights such as the Hermann Museum and Bellevue Elementary. They left impressed by the community’s energy and amenities—a big thank-you to all who helped host the tour.

Additional announcements included AHN’s call for volunteers to serve as greenhouse and garden stewards within their network, including AGH Suburban. The Bellevue Music Festival is expanding to include 10 performance venues across town, with more updates coming soon. The group also celebrated the success of VueFWD, with full results available at https://bellevuepa.us/vuefwd/. Upcoming community happenings include the Knitters Crawl starting August 1, a fundraiser for Noel of T&M Hardware on April 23 at 565 Live, and the return of the Big Bellevue Yard Sale on June 21–22, aiming for 100 registered homes.
