As we continue our work to strengthen and support our Bellevue community, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on one of our most cherished institutions, Andrew Bayne Memorial Library. The Friends of Bayne Library play a vital role in ensuring the library thrives, and they’re inviting community members like you to join their efforts this year. Meetings are held every other month (January 28, March 18, May 20, July 15, September 16, and November 18 at 6:30 PM), offering plenty of opportunities to connect, contribute, and make a real impact.
This year, the Friends are eager to grow their team by welcoming new volunteers and board members. If you’re looking for a way to give back to the community and help shape the future of Bayne Library, now is the perfect time to get involved. Leadership opportunities include officer roles—President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer—which are elected every two years, with the next election happening this year. For those who prefer a less formal role, non-officer board positions are also available and play a critical part in supporting the library’s mission.
At just $5 per year, membership in the Friends of Bayne Library is an affordable and meaningful way to support this essential community resource. Bellevue Forward encourages you to join, renew your membership, or step into a leadership role to help the library continue to be a hub of learning, connection, and creativity. Together, we can ensure Bayne Library remains a cornerstone of our community for years to come. Let’s make 2025 a year of progress and collaboration!
