On Friday, June 27, 2025, Highmark Wholecare will officially open its very first Connection Center at AHN Suburban—a dynamic new community hub dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of local residents in every aspect of their lives.
This innovative center isn’t just about clinical care—it’s a place where health services meet real-life needs. Visitors will find resources for workforce readiness, resume building, Medicaid renewal, and partnerships with nonprofits that address the social determinants of health, such as housing, nutrition, and employment.

The rebirth of the AHN Suburban campus into a 230,000-square-foot hub marks a bold investment in Bellevue and the surrounding communities. Highmark Wholecare’s vision is clear: health is more than just doctor visits, it’s about addressing the everyday factors that impact people’s ability to thrive.
By bringing social supports directly into the healthcare setting, the Connection Center aims to help community members navigate life’s challenges more easily, offering wraparound services under one roof. Farm-to-Family Fresh Produce Giveaway
Adding to the excitement, Friday’s grand opening will include a Farm-to-Family fresh produce giveaway, a part of Highmark Wholecare’s statewide initiative to support healthy living. Bellevue is just one stop on a 25-location tour expected to serve more than 6,000 families across Pennsylvania in 2025. The event will distribute thousands of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to local families, reinforcing the Connection Center’s commitment to both health and community stability.
