Bellevue Forward has partnered with Vintage Max bookstore and Bellevue-based design and calligraphy firm House of Lions to create the Bellevue Forward Cozy Crawl, a program centered on shopping small for the holidays, enjoying the coziness of the season, and finding connection within the community.
Taking place over the weekend following Thanksgiving day, the Cozy Crawl presents a combination of free and paid activities and incentives for shoppers to engage with small businesses in Bellevue instead of taking their holiday shopping dollars outside of the community. Additionally, in the spirit of giving the proceeds raised through Cozy Crawl events will be used to fund the construction of “Little Free” stations throughout Bellevue, where anyone can donate or find free items such as shelf-stable foods, cold weather gear, person hygiene items, pet foods, etc. By creating a compelling campaign to get customers to stay and shop local, the Cozy Crawl aims to:
- Highlight opportunities to shop Bellevue for the holiday season
- Increase shopper foot traffic in our small business district that might otherwise be lost to larger, corporate sectors like McKnight Rd.
- Help residents and guests find new ways to engage with Bellevue businesses during the holiday season,
- Reinforce our sense of community and giving with the commission of “Little Free” stations throughout Bellevue.
